Adrienne Cooper

I live, breathe, eat, and write about food. I love to bring together my passions for food, comedy and New York City. I dream of bringing together all of my talents on the little screen, the medium screen, and perhaps even the big screen one day.
I wanna make you laugh. I wanna make you eat. Not at the same time though---that's dangerous.

I'm a native New Yorker from the Upper West Side of Manhattan. My education was all through the NYC Public School System, and in High School I went to a specialized school for the arts where I concentrated on acting. Coming from a family of artists, I  was encouraged to have a fall-back plan. I turned to hospitality after finding inspiration in a coffee shop in San Francisco.

I got a BBA in Hospitality Management, with a concentration in Hotels/Resorts, and knew one thing: I didn't want to work in a hotel. Naturally, I found myself on track to climb that hotel management path at the Hyatt. When I realized my fall-back had become everything, it was time to re-assess. I took a risk and jumped ship without a net, and simply the knowledge that I wanted to stay in hospitality, but work in my hometown and somehow find the time to express my creative self.

After a couple of stints in other gigs, I found a marketing job with a food tour company. The owner asked if I'd be interested in guiding, given my background. The more I thought about it, the more I realized it was the perfect job for me. My mother's a tour guide, my friends always came to me for advice on good eats, and I loved showing friends and family my favorite city in the world. So, I studied for the exam and got my license. 6 months later I went off on my own.

Around the same time I started guiding, I started delving into the world of comedy. I began with one class in sketch writing and that turned into years of writing, improvising, and performing all across the city. I even put together my own show to combine my love of food and comedy, I've performed it on a few different stages, and look forward to one day bringing it to the small screen.
