St Croix Food & Wine Experience: A Taste of St. Croix came about as a way to celebrate the unique spirit and flavor of St. Croix by pooling culinary artisans from more than 50 local restaurants and eateries. The event, highlights the diverse and delectable cuisine and culture of St. Croix with its influences from all over the Caribbean and the world. Simply put, A Taste of St. Croix is elegance, art, culture, laughter, and a spectacular good time.

St. Croix native Digby Stridiron was lured into the culinary world when his passion for food was recognized at an early age. Upon graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Digby returned to island of St. Croix and worked a various resorts and private restaurants which helped him reconnect with his first love...Food. 

During his time on St. Croix, Chef Digby began to understand the dedication, passion, and integrity required of him to become a chef. He went on to studyat Le Cordon Bleu with a concentration in Culinary Arts. Chef Digby's passion would send him back to his hometown, the island of St. Croix, where he accepted the position of Chef de Cuisine at the The Shores. While at The Shores, Chef Digby applied his innovative, eclectic and no fear approach to tackling the island style cuisine which, created a buzz and stirred the pot of St. Croix's culinary world. While on his culinary journey, Chef Digby gained a reputation for creating elegant upscale events for such high profile clients as Vivica Fox, R&B singer Mario, NFL star Kerry Rhodes and many others. In 2011 while on the road with recording artists Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj, Chef Digby felt it was time to rediscover the essence of Digby through food once again. He decided the award winning restaurant Norman's in Orlando, Florida was the place to do so. It was in Florida where Chef Digby and The Stridiron Group would take off and Digby's vision of "Farm-to-Table" events would come to fruition. 

In 2012 Digby moved on to work at Chef Brandon Glamery's highly acclaimed restaurant Luma on the Park.  It is at Luma that Digby really came into his own as a chef and fine tuned his talent. In 2013 Chef Digby officially launched The Stridiron Group.  In 2013, Chef Digby Stridiron was selected as the featured chef at Crucian Heritage and Nature Tourism's (CHANT) "Crucian Fusion - Traditional Gone Gourmet" event on the island of St. Croix. This annual event celebrates traditional Crucian cuisine taken to the next level. 2013's Crucian Fusion event allowed the people of St. Croix and those from near and far to experience Chef Digby's vision, innovative, eclectic and no holds barred approach to food. It also served to validate Digby's desire to expand upon his vision of "farm-to-table" approach to food. In 2014 Chef Digby Stridiron returned to St. Croix...where it all began.

In early 2014, Chef Digby was named the Virgin Islands Person of the Month. He was later in that year was awarded the roll as "Culinary Ambassador of the US Virgin Islands."
