Christian Seel is the founder and CEO of Kohmee, Inc., a culinary software company. He is also a visual effects coordinator at 20th Century Fox. He is a professional photographer, filmmaker, trained chef and food author. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, he went on to an apprenticeship at Heston Blumenthal’s 3-Michelin Star, Fat Duck restaurant in Bray, UK. He also worked for Daniel Boulud at his flagship NYC restaurant, Daniel, as both a chef and freelance filmmaker. In 2008, he went to work at Grant Achatz’s Alinea restaurant - currently ranked #1 in the world - where he eventually went on to head the company’s in-house photography and video production program. During this time, he photographed and designed two eBooks for Next Restaurant in Chicago. In 2014, he moved to Los Angeles to further pursue freelance filmmaking. His commercial clients include Grand Central Publishing, Cornell University, Breville USA, Polyscience and Wolfgang Puck Worldwide. In 2017, he joined 20th Century Fox’s visual effects department. During this time, he’s been involved with the films, War of the Planet of the Apes, Deadpool 2, Red Sparrow and Bohemian Rhapsody, among others. He holds a bachelor of arts degree from the Evergreen State College in Washington state.
