Smokeshire HIll Top Farm


Smokeshire Hill Top Farm is a traditional Vermont hill farm, sustainably powered by a balance of new and old technology; we heat our home with a masonry wood heater; generate our own electricity and hot water with solar panels and a wind turbine that power the farm.  The farm & forestry are Suffolk horse and biodiesel powered. The additional farm products included raspberries, blueberries and horse logged firewood.  The sheep are also used in agroforestry practices controlling under growth.  Forest restoration and custom farm services are done using Suffolk Draft Horses, a heritage breed. We are also available for hay rides and, in the winter “Extreme” sleigh rides. The farm produces five varieties of raspberries starting in July through October; three varieties of blueberries, lamb and firewood. Our berries are available as “pick your own”. Our lamb is grass fed developing a mild flavor, humanely slaughtered, available custom cut and USDA inspected.  The lambs are supplied to local chefs, traditional ethnic market and available with portable whole lamb rotisserie.
