6th Annual Berry Good Night (Berry Dinner): Now in its sixth year, Berry Good Night celebrates local growers, ranchers, and producers, along with championing the ideology of sustainable food. It unites kindred spirits—artisans, food activists, farmers, ranchers, winemakers, brewers, writers, chefs, restaurateurs and dedicated locavores—for an evening of conscious conversation over a sensory sustainable feast.
Chef's Roll presents: Chef's Plate 4 Baja: Chef’s Plate, the ultimate traveling competition, travels to Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico on July 25th, 2015. Host chefs Drew Deckman, Miguel Angel Guerrero and Benito Molina will each be mentoring an up-and-coming chef to represent them in a head-to-head cooking competition.

Chef Miguel Angel Guerrero's Spanish heritage introduced him to the Mediterranean Spanish Cuisine. He grew up surrounded by nature, open fields and the sea, these environments later in his life translated into his main passions. Today, sport hunting, fishing and diving, are activities that he integrates in his everyday life and his cooking, along with his own orchard of fine herbs and vegetables that he uses all year around in his cuisine, making all of this one of his strong trademarks.

Another influence in his cooking was developed naturally by growing up in Baja California, the Mediterranean weather gathers up the perfect conditions for the growth of olives, herbs and all kinds of vegetables and the largest wine growing region in Mexico. And the third cuisine that Chef Miguel Angel integrated in his dishes was the Oriental; this influence comes from the presence of Chinese immigrants in the city of Mexicali where they had to adapt to the local products to reinterpret their cooking.


This is the reason why Chef Miguel Angel Guerrero has been recognized as the creator of the concept Baja Mediterranean. In 2006 his cuisine became a trademark for him and now is well known as Baja Med Cuisine, setting the base for a culinary revolution in Baja California.


The menu that he creates for his restaurants has always a surprise factor as guests find different dishes everyday made from fresh products and meats. These products are collected from its origin to maintain the maximum quality and freshness, to then transform them into interesting and original dishes, closing the product's cycle.
