This year, from September 27th-29th, twenty top pasta chefs are traveling to Italy from all corners of the globe to battle it out head-to-head in Barilla’s Pasta World Championships. There, they will celebrate the traditions of this beloved ingredient, while also looking to its place in the future of cuisine.

The twenty chefs will gather in Milan for the first two days of the competition. From this group, ten chefs will advance to the next round, and on the third day will be tasked with recreating their signature take on a traditional pasta recipe.

This will be the 6th year for the competition to take place, and the multi-day event promises to be the best one yet. Just three finalists will be selected to travel to Parma and the Academia Barilla auditorium, for a final round of competition and the chance to be named the Pasta World Champion.
