I have been baking for as long as I can remember. My earliest memory is of my Grandma and I baking zucchini bread. Thus began my love for baking. During my Junior and Senior years at Monroe High School, I also attended Sno-Isle Tech for culinary courses. There I learned knife skills, how to read a recipe, converting measurements and kitchen terminology during the first year. In the second year, I learned the basics of customer service and the inner workings of the kitchen. I also participated in the 2014 SkillsUSA baking competition at Bates College in Tacoma, Washington. There I placed in fourth.I started and finished my baking education through Lake Washington Institute of Technology from 2016 - 2018. There I learned how to decorate cakes, use traditional baking techniques and how to operate the front of house service.I currently work at Deru Market and Catering in Kirkland, WA as one of their pastry chefs.
