Travels to Hawaii accompanied by working in a Hawaiian restaurant with a knowledge of vegetation/herbs and a background in Mexican cooking has created my style as a mix of both Island and North American cuisine. My interest lies in mixing cooking techniques from different cultures to create something akin to an umami kiss right to the flavor glands.

Daily cooking with meticulous procedures to enhance flavors was the norm growing up for me in my Mexican household. I developed a passion for Asiatic cuisines, particularly Japanese, through working for a Japanese man and having him invite to different restaurants, and working in a Hawaiian fusion restaurant. My inspiration when cooking comes from taking bits and pieces of every culture I've experienced to create dishes that introduce bold flavors and mouth watering aromas. The dish that has a little bit of every culture to widen your taste buds and heighten the euphoria of eating something that you would familiarize with yet be foreign is what I continuously strive for.
