For more than two decades I lived in Harwich, Ma. A small shore-based town, 90 miles outside of Boston. Living on a island provided me with an opportunity to learn just about everything possible pertaining to our national seashores. As a young boy I learned how to fish / catch almost anything I could carry home; Cod, Bass, Maine Lobster, Blue Crab,Clams, Oysters, Scallops I did all of it. I loved it!. During that time as a boy I wasn't able to recognize my own passions therefore settled for 10 years in a non-culinary leadership position. Although that 10 years of life experience was invaluable to me. I enjoyed looking at pictures and researching out of date dishes that no-one chooses to make anymore, online and in books. I did this while constantly pondering about how I can one-up my Portuguese Grandmother's kasoila and fisherman's stew. I cooked at home and shared my food with anyone willing to try. As time went on I very quickly recognized my passion for recreating memories through cooking. Since my awakening I have worked diligently day in and day out to educate myself to benefit my career and future. I still have a lot of learning to do in order to perfect my trade. However, the process is exciting to me and I will continue to put my best foot forward, face adversity head on, and weather any storm which dares to cross my path.
