Calling all U.S.-based Chefs and Culinary Pros! Register for a chance to receive free samples of McCain SureCrisp™ Fries and compete in the #McCainSureCrispShowdown!
64 competitors will battle through multiple rounds while cooking with two types of incredible SureCrisp™ fries from McCain. Four finalists will take home a Meglio knife and a Chef’s Roll Apparel Knife Roll, and one will be crowned the Grand Prize winner, receiving a top-of-the-line Polyscience Control Freak.
*Samples are limited. Selection preference will be given to chefs in a position to make or influence decisions within foodservice operations.
HOW THE TOURNAMENT WORKS
REGISTRATION AND SAMPLE SHIPPING
- Register below by February 20th
- Competitors will be selected and samples will be shipped February 21 – March 6
- The first phase of dish creation will take place March 7 – 13
FIRST PHASE
All 64 competitors will submit two dishes; uploading them using a web form by March 13.
One dish will be judged, and 32 people will be chosen to advance. Then, the second dish will be judged, and 16 people will be chosen to advance.
SECOND PHASE
The 16 remaining competitors will each submit two more dishes.
One dish will be judged, and eight people will be chosen to advance. Then, the second dish will be judged, and four people will be chosen to advance. All four of these finalists will win the prize package described below!
FINALIST PHASE
No more dishes will need to be submitted. The judges will review all of the dishes that the finalists have submitted, and choose a grand prize winner!

Round 1 – 64 dishes made with Product A (SureCrisp French Fries) judged.

- 32 Winners announced Thursday, March 17
Round 2 – 32 dishes made with Product B (SureCrisp Waffle Fries) judged.
- Prompt: Fries as center of plate with accompaniments
- 16 Winners announced Saturday, March 19
SECOND PHASE— 2x Entries Due from 16 competitors who have advanced by March 24
Round 3 – 16 dishes made with Product A (SureCrisp French Fries) judged.
- Prompt: Perfect Pairing – Fries as a side
- 8 Winners announced Friday, March 25 –
Round 4 – 8 dishes made with Product B (SureCrisp Waffle Fries) judged.
- Prompt: Regional, Inspired by your favorite team’s city/state.
