The OLD SMOKEHOUSE® Premium Bacon Contest

Calling all US-based chefs and culinary operators! Looking for bacon that leaves the plate but never leaves the mind? We’re teaming up with Hormel Foodservice to offer a complimentary 20lb box of OLD SMOKEHOUSE® Premium Bacon to 100 select chefs who will compete by creating their take on a classic or favorite menu item that is elevated by including bacon.


Register by October 6th for a chance to receive samples and to compete for cash prizes and win FREE BACON FOR A YEAR – UP TO 2,000 LBS!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

  1. Registration: If you are interested in competing, register below by October 6th, 2024.
  2. Competitor Selection and Sample Shipping: 100 competitors will be selected to receive full cases of bacon (20 lbs each). Competitors will be randomly selected to receive either OLD SMOKEHOUSE® Pecanwood Bacon or OLD SMOKEHOUSE® Applewood Bacon.
  3. Dish creation and submission. Selected competitors will have until November 3rd, 2024 to create an original dish and upload a photo and description.
  4. Judging and Winner Announcement. Judges will review entries and announce the winners on November 8th, 2024!

  • One 1st Place Winner will receive:
    • $2,000 USD cash prize
    • “Free Bacon for a Year” – That’s up 100 CASES of bacon (2,000lbs!) to be delivered throughout the year based on your needs.
  • One 2nd Place Winner will receive:
    • $1,000 USD cash prize
    • A 20lb case of each type of OLD SMOKEHOUSE® Premium Bacon: Applewood, Pecanwood, Sugar Cured, and Maple Pepper. 4 cases (80lbs) total.
  • One 3rd Place Winner will receive:
    • $500 USD cash prize
