RULES – THE CHEF’S ROLL “2022 CHUNKY CHIPS AHOY! COOKIE PIECES SWEEPSTAKES”

NO PURCHASE, PAYMENT, OR SUBMISSION TO SALES PRESENTATIONS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL, AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Apple, Google, or Facebook. Instagram, Apple, Google and Facebook are not affiliated with the Sponsor (as defined below) in any way. Mondelēz Global LLC is not a sponsor of this Sweepstakes.
ELIGIBILITY: THE CHEF’S ROLL “2022 CHUNKY CHIPS AHOY! COOKIE PIECES SWEEPSTAKES” (“Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the 50 United States (“US”), Puerto Rico, and District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age (at least nineteen (19 if a resident of AL or NE) at the time of Entry (“Entrant”). Employees, officers and directors of Chef’s Roll, Inc. (“Sponsor”) and Mondelēz Global and each of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, and advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate families and household members are not eligible to enter or win. For purposes of this Sweepstakes, “immediate families” means spouse, biological, adoptive and step-parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren, and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside), and “household members” means persons living in the same household, whether related or not.
TO ENTER: There will be three (3) Promotion Periods, as described below. After the end of each Promotion Period, a Prize Winner will be selected. Promotion Periods include:
- Week 1 (9:00am PT May 2, 2022 to 11:59 pm PT May 9, 2022)
- Week 2 (9:00am PT May 10, 2022 to 11:59 pm PT May 16, 2022)
- Week 3 (9:00am PT May 17, 2022 to 11:59 pm PT May 23, 2022)
To enter during each Promotion Period, Entrants must leave a comment on any post from @ChefsRoll on Instagram that is: A) Posted during the Promotion Period, and B) Advertising the Sweepstakes. The comment must tag/@mention at least two (2) other working chefs or culinary industry operators (as defined below) with whom you are acquainted. The comment may not include any content other than the tag/@mention of acquaintance(s), or it may be disqualified at the discretion of the Sponsor. Limit: One (1) Entry per person per Promotion Period.
“Working chef” includes: Restaurant owner, operator, executive chefs, sous chefs, lead line cooks, caterers, corporate chefs, culinary instructors and personal chefs.
“Culinary industry operator” includes operators of: restaurants, catering companies, food distributors, health care facilities, corporation, culinary schools, retail markets and noncommercial foodservice establishments.
Entries that are lost, late, misdirected, illegible, incompletely received, garbled or incomplete, for any reason, will not be eligible and are not the responsibility of the Sponsor. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of receipt. All Entries become the property of Sponsor. In the event of a dispute over the identity of a potential winner, the winning Entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the social media account through which the Entry was submitted, based on the applicable social media platform’s records, and any potential winner may be required to provide evidence sufficient to show that he/she is the authorized account holder of that social media account.
PRIZES: There will be one (1) prize (“Prize”) awarded per Promotion period. The Prizes are:
- Week 1 Prize – Chef’s Roll Apparel Knife Roll – Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $99
- Week 2 Prize – Chef’s Roll Apparel Chef Tools Kit – ARV: $75
- Week 3 Prize – Chef’s Roll Apparel Gaiter Fleece Hoodie + Swag Pack – ARV: $65
The total ARV of all prizes in this Sweepstakes: $239. Following the end of each Promotion Period, the winner of the Prize for the applicable Promotion Period will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible Entries received during that Promotion Period (each, a “Winner”). Note: Entries from one Promotion Period will not be included in subsequent Promotion Periods’ drawings. Winners will be announced on or around June 6, 2022 following confirmation of each Winner’s eligibility.
The odds of winning a Prize depend on the total number of eligible Entries received for each Promotion Period’s drawing. Each Prize is non-assignable, nontransferable, and not redeemable in cash. There are no prize substitutions, except that Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, substitute a prize of equal or greater value for an advertised Prize if the advertised Prize becomes unavailable. All Prizes will be awarded provided they are claimed properly in accordance with these Official Rules. Incidental expenses and all other costs and expenses which are not specifically listed as part of a Prize in these Official Rules and which may be associated with the award, acceptance, receipt, and use of all or any portion of the awarded Prize are solely the responsibility of each Prize Winner. All federal, state, and local taxes associated with the receipt or use of any Prize are solely the responsibility of the Winner.
NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS: The Winners will be notified on or around June 6, 2022 via Instagram Direct Message. If a Winner does not respond within forty-eight (48 ) hours of the date appearing on the prize notification, or fails to comply with the instructions contained in the prize notification within that time period, Sponsor reserves the right to choose an alternate Winner based on a random drawing of the remaining eligible Entries in the applicable Promotion Period’s drawing pool. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate Winner in the manner described above. Upon the request of the Sponsor, each potential Winner may be required to return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release and Prize Acceptance Form, and IRS W-9 form . If a potential Winner fails to comply with the above requirement or with these Official Rules in any way, that potential Winner will be disqualified and an alternate Winner will be selected by random drawing from the remaining eligible Entries in the applicable Promotion Period’s drawing pool.
APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION: This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Any dispute arising out of this Sweepstakes or any Prize shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its choice law principles, and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate state and federal courts in the State of California. By entering, each Entrant consents to the personal jurisdiction of said courts.
WAIVERS AND RELEASES: By entering, Entrants agree: (a) to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding; (b) that they may be contacted in person, by phone, through social media or by e-mail, with respect to the Sweepstakes; (c) that Sponsor, Mondelēz Global LLC, Instagram, Apple, Google and Facebook, their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, divisions, and advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, and employees (collectively “Releasees”) are not responsible for lost, damaged, or misplaced Entries, incorrect or inaccurate transcription of Entry information, or for any human or other error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any online service, social media platform or web site, or any other error or malfunction, or any injury or damage to Entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes, or for any injury to person or property; and (d) the Releasees will not be liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from acceptance/possession/use and/or misuse of any Prize, travel to and from any prize-related activity, participation in the Sweepstakes, or printing, mailing or distribution errors. Each Prize Winner further acknowledges that Sponsor does not make any warranties, express or implied, relating to the Prizes and that Sponsor expressly disclaims the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular use.
PUBLICITY: Unless prohibited by law, an Entry constitutes permission for the Releasees to use that Entrant’s name, address (city and state), personal contact information, and/or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without compensation or right of review or approval, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, including without limitation the Internet.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS: If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of being executed as planned, or tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any suspect Entry and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. If the Sweepstakes is terminated, the Prize for the Promotion Period then in-progress will be awarded in a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect Entries received during that Promotion Period as of the date/time of the termination. Thereafter, Sponsor reserves the right to not award any remaining Prizes, in its sole discretion. Entries not complying with these Official Rules are subject to disqualification.
In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any Sweepstakes-related materials or notifications, and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control.
DATA PRIVACY: Entrants agree that their personal data, including name, e-mail address, phone number, and physical address, may be processed, stored and otherwise used for the purposes and within the context of this Sweepstakes and for any of the purposes set forth in the Chef’s Roll Privacy Policy at https://chefsroll.com/privacy-policy. By participating in this Sweepstakes, Entrants agree to Chef Roll’s Privacy Policy. Without limiting the foregoing, such data may also be used by the Sponsor in order to contact the Prize Winners, check an Entrant’s identity and contact information, or to otherwise verify an Entrant’s eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes or to receive any prize. The personal information that Sponsor collects is stored and processed on servers in the United States. By participating in the Sweepstakes, Entrants consent to the transfer of their personal information to the United States.
SEVERABILITY: If any provision(s) of these Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect.
TRADEMARKS: Trademarks referenced herein are owned by their respective companies and do not imply or suggest that such companies endorse or support this Sweepstakes.
TO RECEIVE WINNERS’ NAMES OR OFFICIAL RULES: To request the names of the Winners (available after June 6, 2022, following winner confirmation) or a copy of these Official Rules, e-mail your request to support@chefsroll.com or mail your request, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope to: 325 W. Washington St, Suite 2138 San Diego, CA 92103. Residents of Vermont may omit return postage. Requests for a copy of these Official Rules received more than thirty (30) days after the end of the final Promotion Period will not be honored.
