September is National Honey Month, and to celebrate the sweet and versatile ingredient this year, Chef’s Roll has teamed up with the National Honey Board to host a contest and offer some amazing prizes. From September 11th through the 22nd, any US-based chefs can enter by sharing a photo of an original dish incorporating honey.
There are two ways to enter!
1. Post the photo on Instagram, anytime during the contest dates, using #SweetOnHoney.
2. Alternately, you can use an online form to submit. (link above)
The Chef’s Roll team will pick our top ten favorite entries, judging on criteria including originality, technique, plating, and photo quality. (Chefs, we can’t stress enough how important a good photo is. We’ve had to reject potentially great entries in other contests because of poorly lit or overly grainy photos!) After we pick our top 10, the National Honey Board will select one grand prize winner and two runners up.

National Honey Month Contest 2017
Grand Prize:
One grand prize winner will receive $500, a custom “Honey-Edition” Nora Knife, and monthly shipments of rare honey varietals for a year.
Runner-Up Prize (x2):
Two runners up will receive monthly shipments of honey varietals for a year plus $150.
Community Choice Prize
One community choice winner, selected by popular vote, will receive a Chef’s Roll gift box, including a Chef’s Roll cap, Chef Spoon, and more goodies. They’ll also receive monthly shipments of honey varietals for a year.
