Baked S’mores Donut

As part of our ongoing partnership with Butter of Europe, we’re asking our favorite chefs to create delicious dishes showcasing premium European butter. Here, pastry chef Ana Paola de Anda makes a chocolate s’mores donut with chocolate glaze and toasted marshmallow.

Chocolate Donut


  • 1 cup AP flour
  • ¼ cup Cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. Baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. Baking soda
  •  ½ tsp. Nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp. Espresso (ground)
  • ½ tsp. Sea salt
  • 2 tbsp. Butter of Europe (melted)
  • ½ cups Buttermilk
  • ½ tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 1 ea. Egg
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • ¼ cup Brown sugar


  1. Mix all dry ingredients and set aside.
  2. Whisk buttermilk, Butter of Europe, vanilla, eggs, and sugar.
  3. Whisk dry ingredients into wet ingredients.
  4. Pour into pre-greased mold.
  5. Bake at 350 F 15-20 minutes.
  6. Let cool before glazing.

Chocolate Glaze


  • ½ cup Cream
  • 4 oz. Dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp. Butter of Europe


  1. Heat cream and Butter of Europe until warm enough to melt the chocolate.
  2. Pour over chocolate and whisk until fully incorporated.



  • Toasted marshmallows
  • Crushed graham crackers 


  1. Once donuts are cool, glaze and sprinkle with toppings as desired.
