Summary of Competition Rules and Procedures

Entry Submissions:
Each Monday by 8pm PST chefs are required to submit the name and photo of their dish along with the recipe based on the category via the website link we provide. We will approve each submission to ensure only qualified chefs are participating. Recipes must include an Avocado From Mexico as one of the ingredients.

Voting and Judging:
Voting and judging will begin the following morning, Tuesday 10am PST and last until the next day, Wednesday 5pm PST.  When voting opens we will send participating chefs a link to share with their supporters to help garner votes. For the first round, the Top 10 with most votes automatically advance. At most 10 auto-qualify, if there is a tie on votes, judges determine who advances from the tied votes. The rest of the field is determined by judges based on creativity and presentation. Note that each round will have a different number of auto-qualifiers to ensure it is not just a popularity contest. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entry if an entry does not follow the category guidelines, official rules, or is an incomplete submission.
Advancing to the Next Round:
After voting closes for the round, the chefs advancing to the next round will be announced by 11pm PST on our website, as well as via an email to the advancing chefs.  The advancing chefs then have until the following Monday 8pm PST to submit for the next round.
