HOW DO YOU QUESO? CHEF COMPETITION FROM LAND O’LAKES FOODSERVICE

You’re invited to join us for another year of the How Do You Queso? Chef Competition, brought to you by Land O’Lakes Foodservice! Register below for a chance to participate and create a craveable queso dish using a free sample of Extra Melt® White Cheese Sauce from Land O’Lakes. This powerhouse premium cheese sauce provides a consistent base with cheese-forward flavor and a mild finish that can take whatever you throw at it. The sky’s the limit with what you can make – whether an existing menu item or an item you are planning to menu!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Enter with 3 simple steps:

  1. REGISTER: Up to 250 chefs* will be chosen to receive a free sample of Extra Melt® White Cheese Sauce (approx. retail value $100).  
  2. CREATE: Make a dish, take a picture and share it on Instagram, using hashtags #howdoyouqueso #landolakesfoodservice and tagging @chefsroll.
  3. WIN: The grand prize winner will receive $1,000, a new chef knife, and Chef’s Roll apparel.

*Selection preference will be given to chefs with the ability to make or influence decisions within foodservice operations.

PRIZES

One Grand Prize Winner will receive:

  • $1,000 cash (payable by check)
  • Custom Meglio Chef Knife – ARV $400
  • Chef’s Roll Apparel Executive Chef Coat – ARV $125

Two Runners Up Prize Winners will receive:

  • $500 cash (payable by check)
  • Chef’s Roll Apparel AP Flour Chef Coat – ARV $35

COMPETITION RULES

  1. Register by October 3 at 11:59 p.m. PT to participate in the How Do You Queso? Chef Competition.
  2. Show us your culinary creativity by crafting and photographing your queso creation featuring Land O Lakes® Extra Melt® White Cheese Sauce. 
  3. Share your high-resolution photos of the entry as well as the title and description of your dish to your public Instagram account, using hashtags #HowDoYouQueso and #landolakesfoodservice and tagging @chefsroll by October 30, 2022.
  4. Judges will review all entries and announce winners on or around November 4, 2022. Judges will be looking at the following criteria:
    • Land O Lakes® Extra Melt® White Cheese Sauce is a featured component of the dish
    • Plating/presentation/quality of image submitted
    • Overall dish quality and creativity
