Chef’s Roll has partnered with the Kobe Beef Marketing & Distribution Promotion Association to find a top-tier US-based chef to travel on the adventure of a lifetime to Kobe, Japan.
- Trip is coming up SOON: October 30th-November 7th, 2024. So make sure you’ll be able to travel! (Including having a valid passport.)
- The trip will include airfare from the US to Japan, lodging, and all meals. Highlights include:
- Bullet train travel to Kobe City and education with master ranchers and butchers.
- Time spent in the magically picturesque Maruyama Village.
- A day trip to Tajima Farm and its cattle museum – the birthplace of the Kobe bloodline.
- A studio kitchen day collaborating with the “Kimono Butcher” Marika Watanabe.
- A free day in Tokyo.
- And more!
What type of remarkable candidate are we looking for?
Anyone is welcome to apply, but we and our generous sponsors are looking for someone who:
- Has a passion for and experience working with premium beef.
- Is willing to share the knowledge and experiences of their trip.
- Has distinguished themselves throughout their career with a reputation for culinary excellence.

- The form above will remain open until September 15th, 2024. The application period may be extended at the organizer’s discretion.
- If the application period closes as originally scheduled, representatives from Chef’s Roll and the Kobe Beef Marketing & Distribution Promotion Association will review all applicants and reach out to the person they select by September 19th, 2024.
- The selected person will have until the next day, Friday, September 20th, to confirm their ability to embark on this adventure of a lifetime. If they are unavailable, another qualified candidate will be invited, and so on.
