Represent Your Region 2017

Calling all US Chefs! Barilla is asking you to “Represent Your Region” in our #BarillaPastaPerfect contest.  If selected you will receive a shipment of Barilla pasta to explore and create a recipe entry that best represents your region. Maybe an Orzo Étouffée to rep Louisiana or Wild Salmon over Bucatini if you hail from the Pacific Northwest. Winners will be chosen by our panel of judges based on creativity and presentation. The top 20 semi-finalists will get Chef Garden veggies boxes, the ten finalists will each receive a handmade NORA knife courtesy of Barilla and the Grand Prize winner will get a coveted spot on Barilla’s annual Modern Casual retreat1. Modern Casual is invite-only and is designed for chefs to dive into the most current trends in casual dining, with Barilla as the anchor point for the content. For 2017 it will take place at the amazing Farmer Lee Jones’ Culinary Vegetable Institute in Ohio. The retreat will feature educational sessions, hands-on cooking, guest trend lecturer and the amazing facility at the CVI, plus a one-day culinary immersion of Cleveland and its most sought after chefs.
