Chartwells teamed up with Chef’s Roll to put on a special Chartwells BBQ Challenge. Teams from the Mid-South Atlantic Chartwells Higher Education at Compass Group USA competed. They got creative with tri-color sweet potato fries from MIC Food and products from Kraft Heinz. 5 teams advanced to the live event competition in Texas. The chefs from Trinity University ended up taking home 1st place with their Smoked Beef Short Rib Tri-color Empanadas with mole BBQ sauce, cilantro lime crema, guacamole and pickled red onions, served with black bean chips and smoked sundried tomato queso dipping sauce!
