You can draw from your culinary heritage and techniques that inspire you, but be sure to make sous vide the star of the dish

Once you’ve created your dish — snap a high-quality photo and submit your entry online by clicking the link below. Then, don’t forget to share it on a public Instagram account, tagging @CuisineSolutions and #ILOVESOUSVIDE

What is International Sous Vide Day?

On International Sous Vide Day, we celebrate the birthday of Dr. Bruno Goussault—the father of modern sous vide—and the culinary artistry his innovations have made possible.

In 1971, Dr. Goussault developed sous vide as a way of improving the tenderness of roast beef. Today, as the chief scientist at Cuisine Solutions, Dr. Goussault continues to refine this revolutionary water bath cooking method—and share his knowledge with world-renowned and up-and-coming chefs alike. He founded the Culinary Research & Education Academy (CREA), where he has taught more than 80 percent of chefs with three Michelin stars, including Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud, Yannick Alléno, Joël Robuchon, and Anne-Sophie Pic, as well as the next generation of chefs. His groundbreaking research changed the culinary world forever.

What festivities will occur?

On January 26th, people will gather to celebrate around the globe, with special events occurring in Washington, DC, Dubai, Paris, and Bangkok. The Chef’s Roll team will be in DC to cover the celebration and share content with you.

In addition to the recipe contest and global celebrations, this celebration will be getting social! Every culinary artist needs the right tools to truly express their vision and Cuisine Solutions will be giving away some of their favorites throughout the month of January. Be sure to keep an eye on their Facebook and Instagram accounts for opportunities to win gear this month!

Even if you can’t make it, you can still post on January 26th using #ILoveSousVide and interact with other people using the hashtag!
