ATTENTION APPLICANTS: The Norwegian Seafood Council is impressed by the thoughtful applications to the Seafood Specialists program, and they’d like to thank all applicants for the time and energy put into participating. Due to the number of great applications received, the team needed some extra time to make their selections and give all applicants thoughtful consideration. Selected Chefs will be notified shortly, and we look forward to announcing and sharing more about the Seafood Specialists in September.


Passionate about seafood? Inspired by Norway? Interested in putting that creativity into recipe development? Looking for an official partnership? Then we want to hear from you!

The Norwegian Seafood Council is looking to build their roster of Chef partners and will be selecting up to FIVE Chefs, from the Fast Casual, Casual Dining, College & Universities and Retail sectors, to serve as Seafood Specialists.

 In partnership with the Norwegian Seafood Council, selected Seafood Specialists will be contracted and compensated for: 

  • Development of new and original recipes using seafood from Norway
  • Participating and being quoted in local and national media opportunities
  • Joining webinars with the Norwegian Seafood Council team and other Seafood Specialists

Seafood Specialists will also receive:

  • Premium, top-quality seafood from Norway for recipe ideation and development
  • Exposure via cross-promotion across Seafood from Norway social and digital channels
  • Networking and professional development opportunities with other Seafood Specialist Chefs
  • A key partnership for adding to your resume
  • Access to seafood data and news  
  • Branded Chef’s coat
