Honey Habanero Venison

Seared Cervena Venison Denver Leg with smoked paprika, habanero, and honey granules, sauteed corn and jalapeno, and fresh pluots.

This recipe is part of the Chef’s Roll Test Kitchen, in partnership with Cervena, Spiceology, Fresh Origins, Wusthof, Chef’s Toys, and FOH.



  • 8 oz. portion of Cevena Denver Leg
  • ½ cup Spiceology smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp. Spiceology habanero powder
  • 1 tbsp. Spiceology honey granules


  1. Dust and rub venison with spices.
  2. Sear in a pan until rare/medium rare.



  • 2 cobs Corn
  • 1 ea. Jalapeno


  1. Char corn and remove kernals. Saute with jalapeno.
  2. Serve with fresh pluots. For plating style see video.
