I started off as a little baker at my mom's kitchen in the Philippines, helping her make famous Filipino desserts such as: Leche Flan; Braso de Mercedes; Palitaw; etc. Watching my mother enjoy cooking, made me realize how fun and a calming experience it was. I've always asked her why she cooks and bakes so much; and her answer was; "Feeding people and seeing their satisfaction smile is one of the greatest rewards of being a cook at home. I love seeing your dad and you with a happy full stomach. And what is the best way to a man's heart, is through his stomach! "Ever since then, I've always taken so much interest in food. Going out to numerous restaurants and other "mom and pop " restaurants was a getaway and as well a hobby for my family. I'm a "Foodie " as many, and so myself, would call me. FOOD IS LIFE.
