Growing up in a Mexican household, seeing my mothers cooking caught my attention. I would stare at her making dishes and would closely observe what ingredients she would use. Around the age of 10, I decided to become a chef and open a restaurant. In my high school, South Hills HS, They offered a culinary program and I begged my mother to sign me up for classes. I couldn't believe that they had those sort of programs and was hooked almost immediately. They gave me a tour of the kitchen and was just speechless. I could not hold my excitement seeing the stoves and ovens.I knew that this is where I could show off my skills and finally enjoy doing what I love to do. My instructors would always tell me I had a very special talent and knack for cooking. There were many opportunities to do competitions and contests within my school district and won many of them sooner or later, people would look out for me and knew what I was capable of then eventually, became recognized in media.I fell in love with cooking and never wanted to look back. Cooking is my passion and plan to make this my career.
