I am completely self taught. I have never had the opportunity to work in a real restaurant. My grandmother owned a sandwich shop back in the 70's and has always cooked around me. She made a point to get me in the kitchen at a young age. It may have been that she just wanted me to feed myself so she didn't have to, but her lessons sparked a fire in me that woke this passion to cook. I wanted to learn everything from her and my mother. When I imagine the rest of my life I cannot fathom I would not be a chef. When someone asks me what makes me happy the answer is always cooking. I want to learn as much as I can and be the best me.
