Our Avocados From Mexico Guac ‘n’ Roll contest was back for 2016, just in time to inspire guac making for the Super Bowl. Over 150 chefs participated, with 10 making it to our TOP 10. Five finalists’ recipes were then recreated by our in-house chef and judged by MasterChef 6 winner Claudia Sandoval, award-winning Chef Rob Ruiz, and Chef Claudette Wilkins. Recipes from the contest will be featured on the Avocados From Mexico website.
Here was the challenge: a major rockstar is touring through your town and can’t wait to try your custom guac recipe made special for them. What guacamole would you create for Santana…maybe “Oye Como Guac” with a spicy kick? How about for Lenny Kravitz? Katy Perry? Chefs entered their ideas for a chance to win amazing prizes including handcrafted knives, knife rolls, aprons, hundreds of dollars in tableware and custom chef spoons.
