My mom took me into the kitchen with her as a child. I started as a home cook just loving to bring smiles to my family. Shortly before her passing away while we watched an episode of "Chopped ", my mom looked at me and said "You can do that. " I had no idea what she was talking about. She went on to tell me that I could be a chef and a good one.I started culinary school October 5, 2015. My first day was the scariest because it was the first time I had ever set foot in an industrial kitchen and held a real chef knife in my hand. All of my classmates had so much more experience than me I was one of two home cooks. It didn't matter to me. As far as I was concerned this was my chance to learn as much as I could. Two weeks into my schooling I was thrown another curve ball by life. My mother passed away suddenly. She was the reason I started this. After losing her I realized that she put me on the path that I was meant to be on. Leaving a career as an Human Resources Manager and starting this journey was the best decision I ever made. My love of food has always been there. I now have the opportunity to share it with the world. Look out because LMG food truck will coming your way soon!
