I am an art addict, museum fanatic, and I was once a high school teacher and a crisis intervention specialist. many years of working as a crisis intervention specialist, I took a long break to raise my two boys and I never went back to work. After ten years of staying home, I fell in love with vegetarian food (I grew up in a vegetarian home) and it all started to come back to me. I cook from my heart and never follow a recipe. Everything I know about cooking came from my mother who was a researcher in Agriculture and she is a fantastic vegetarian cook. I was born and raised in Sri Lanka, in a picturesque countryside where there were acres of farmland, and fresh produce was a normal thing. After traveling for many years and moving around I have finally settled down in Miami, FL this year. All I want to do is cook vegetables and be an advocate for plant based food.
