I grew up homeschooled and didn't get out much. When I was very young I started watching a lot of cooking on television and started learning how to cook basic meals. A lot of my inspiration comes from my step father who taught me the basics of safe food handling and let me cook with him many nights. When I was 18 I decided to enlist in the U.S. Navy, however I was discharged before completing basic training so I ended up back in civilian life.
There was a four month period that I was unemployed and searching for a job. The one place that called me was a Kentucky Fried Chicken in Mayfield, Kentucky. I worked there for four months and my passion for cooking was reignited. While I worked there my family was thinking to move to Texas so I decided to find a culinary school to attend to become a chef. In February 2018 I was accepted into Auguste Esscoffier School Of Culinary Arts in Austin, Texas. I look to learn and grow in my culinary skill. My dream is to one day work in a michlin star restaurant.
